Requirements

Complete the application and submit it to the school counselor. This application is sent to the foundation.

Applicants are required to have a minimum of 2 hours of service for the foundation. This can include participation in activities such as the Phone-a-Thon or placement of the flags.

The Foundation Awards Committee will meet to evaluate and score applicants on an anonymous basis and scholarships are awarded to eligible applicants. (The number and amount of scholarships awarded each year will vary depending on the amount of funding available and the number of eligible applicants)

Claiming Scholarships

  • One-year Scholarships: students must successfully complete one semester of study during the year following graduation. You must have a minimum of 12 credit hours and achieve a minimum 2.0 GPA.
  • Two-year Scholarships: students can collect the first half of the scholarship after they successfully complete one semester of study during the first year following graduation (minimum 12 credit hours and achieve a minimum 2.0 GPA). They can collect the remaining half of the scholarship after they successfully complete one semester of study during the second year following graduation (minimum 12 credit hours and achieve a minimum 2.0 GPA)
  • Students should send a copy of their grade report at the end of the first semester, of college, to the Foundation treasurer for payment. The grade report should include the school’s name, student name, and a listing of classes completed with the number of credit hours and grade, cumulative GPA for the semester, and mailing address for the payment.
